MOCKUY ROOM

Mockuy means frog in Wayuu language. The name of the room was chosen because the frog is a very important animal for this culture. As per Kogui mythology, the frog was the second wife of the Sun God, since she was unfaithful to him, the Sun threw her to the earth, shattering her into a thousand pieces and turning each fragment into a frog. Since then, frogs come out only during the rain, when the sun cannot see them. It is possible that on rainy afternoons or evenings the frogs can be heard from the bedroom window, but what is certain is to experience the joy of sitting on the porch of the room to enjoy the afternoon and the rays of the sun that lie down at sunset.
